Project Description:
The Student Activities Center (SAC) at Irvine Valley College is scheduled for repurposing following the completion of the Student Services Center (SSC) and the Student Union (SU), both of which are anticipated to be completed by Spring 2028.
Programming for the SAC will begin in Fall 2025, with construction estimated to start in Fall 2027.
Throughout this transition, the Food Resource Center (The Spot), located within the Student Activities Center (SAC), will remain operational, and continue providing essential support to students.
While final plans are still under development, future considerations for the Student Activities Center (SAC) include transforming the space into a large convocation center and providing a new home for the Irvine Valley College Foundation office.
The goal of the project is to transform the Student Activities Center (SAC) into a student-focused space that enhances service access, supports basic needs, and advances the college’s long-term mission.
