Students shall respect the right of all members of the college community to teach and learn in a safe and academically stimulating environment. The Board of Trustees or District’s Administration shall hold students responsible for observing the student conduct rules and regulations of this policy. The Student Code of Conduct shall be published in both College catalogs and other publications and websites. Violation of such rules shall constitute good cause for imposition of disciplinary action as provided in Irvine Valley College's rules and regulations.

When there is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct a request for disciplinary action may be initiated in writing by district employees.

Student Code of Conduct

Students in the South Orange County Community College District are responsible for regulating their own conduct and for respecting the rights and privileges of others. Irvine Valley College students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner compatible with the function of the college as an educational institution and to respect and obey all civil and criminal laws. Failure to show respect for the standards as set forth by the South Orange County Community College District is cause for expulsion.
