Through IVC’s membership in the Honors Transfer Council of California (HTCC), IVC Honors Program students have access to more than 35 transfer agreements with public and private colleges and universities in- and out-of-state. HTCC agreements may include priority consideration for admission, special scholarships, housing priority, pre-transfer library privileges, recognition of HTCC honors program completion as an indicator of academic rigor, and a range of other academic, cultural, and social benefits.

How to Take Advantage of HTCC Transfer Agreements with Private and Out-of-State Institutions

  • Meet with an Honors counselor to plan your courses
  • Complete English and math courses as early as possible, and make progress in major prep
  • Maintain at least a 3.25 in Honors coursework and attain the minimum transferable GPA, if applicable
  • Fall semester: Meet with an Honors Counselor to receive advising and ensure that you're on track to complete requirements
  • By mid-January: Email unofficial transcripts showing courses completed at other colleges to honorsprogram@ivc.edu
  • By mid-January: Complete the HTCC Transfer Partner Interest Form sent to Honors students through a Canvas announcement at the beginning of the spring semester; Professor Liu will submit your certification paperwork
  • January through March: Submit transfer applications
