As the holiday season approaches, we find ourselves at the intersection of reflection and celebration. In the midst of grading papers and closing out year-end projects, it’s easy to overlook the profound impact we have in influencing students’ lives. Please join me in taking a moment to identify ways to express gratitude within our workspaces.

The finish line is in sight – finals and end-of semester projects are the last hurdles before your well-deserved winter break. Soon, you'll have the opportunity to recharge with family and friends.
The Irvine Valley College Model United Nations (MUN) program attended two conferences this semester and won awards in each competition category for a total of 11 awards. Prior to attending the conferences, IVC MUN students developed position papers on key issues such as the role of information technology in the illicit arms trade, supporting the worlds aquaculture, the impact of bullying and discrimination on youth, and addressing warming permafrost, amongst others. At the conference, students simulated the workings of the actual U.N.
