The Pride Scholars program supports LGBTQIA+ students in the form of counseling and identity-affirming programming that foster a safe space so that LGBTQIA+ students can thrive and be academically successful.
Our program offers:
National Coming Out Day honors the experience of sharing your gender or sexual identity for the first time with another person. While one may ultimately have countless “coming out” conversations in their lifetime, the first time someone shares this part of themselves with another person is often life-changing.
Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival or Chunjie (in China), Tet (in Vietnam), Solnal or Seollal (in Korea), or Losar (in Tibet), is one of the most celebrated festivals in Asia. Did you know that one out of every three IVC students is a first-generation college student? First-generation college students are the first to attend, or graduate from, college in their immediate families. Specifically, if your parents or guardians did not attend, or graduate from college, then you are a first gen student.
