What is a First-Generation College Student?
Did you know that one out of every three IVC students is a first-generation college student? First-generation college students are the first to attend, or graduate from, college in their immediate families. Specifically, if your parents or guardians did not attend, or graduate from college, then you are a first gen student.

IVC First-Gen College Student Celebration
Thursday, November 14 | 11 am - 1 pm | SSC Quad
Stop by the SSC Quad and enjoy food*, music, guest speakers, activities, and grab an exclusive first-gen shirt and IVC swag just for YOU. *Sign-up does not guarantee a meal. Limited quantities available.
At check-in, attendees will receive a First-Gen Shirt, a trendy tote bag, cool buttons, stickers, and a Student Support Services Passport.
