Diego Victoria Named to All-USA Academic Team

Associated Students of IVC (ASIVC) President Diego Victoria is one of 20 college students named to the prestigious 2024 All-USA Academic Team. He will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  

Diego, who was selected from more than 2,000 students, was recognized for his academic achievements, campus and community engagement, as well as overall leadership. He will be honored at the Phi Theta Kappa Conference on April 8.

Irvine Valley College (IVC) alumna Kim Virrueta's story is not a conventional one. Three weeks  after receiving her high school diploma in 1992, she found out she was pregnant at age 17.  Determined to build a life for her growing family, Kim embarked on a path that would begin with  enrolling at IVC and then weave through time and opportunity to land her the career she feels  she was always meant for.

From Geography Club to Global Impact: Dylan Thomas' IVC Legacy

Born and raised in Orange County, Dylan Thomas has always been passionate about the spectacular hiking, biking and fishing the county has to offer. When it came time to enroll in college, it was this passion for the land that served as Thomas’ motivation. "To preserve this,” he thought, “we have to be cognizant of future generations."  

Irvine Valley College Attains All-Steinway School Designation

Irvine Valley College is proud to announce its prestigious recognition as an All-Steinway School,  marking a significant achievement in music education.

IVC Launces the Rising Scholars Program

I am so proud of IVC’s official launch of the Rising Scholars Program held on January 24, 2024 at the Performing Arts Center. It was an incredible afternoon of inspiration and a beautiful convergence of the arts and education. I was struck by the power of artistic expression to convey the lived experiences and message of redemption from each participant.  I invited Shawn Khalifa, Project Specialist for Rising Scholars to describe the program and the significance of its launch.
