Associated Students of IVC (ASIVC) President Diego Victoria is one of 20 college students named to the prestigious 2024 All-USA Academic Team. He will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  

Diego, who was selected from more than 2,000 students, was recognized for his academic achievements, campus and community engagement, as well as overall leadership. He will be honored at the Phi Theta Kappa Conference on April 8.

Arts Village Opens for Classes

At the start of the Spring '24 semester, Irvine Valley College (IVC) opened its Arts Village for classes. The complex spanning 62,471 gross square feet consolidates the School of the Arts into three main structures: Music/Dance, Visual Arts, and Fine Arts/Gallery. The new complex is located southwest of IVC’s Performing Arts Center and adjacent to the new Parking Lot 6. A noteworthy feature of the Arts Village is its architectural design, with all buildings achieving LEED Gold equivalency.

IVC Model United Nations Rings in Holiday Season with Clean Sweep of Awards

The Irvine Valley College Model United Nations (MUN) program attended two conferences this semester and won awards in each competition category for a total of 11 awards. Prior to attending the conferences, IVC MUN students developed position papers on key issues such as the role of information technology in the illicit arms trade, supporting the worlds aquaculture, the impact of bullying and discrimination on youth, and addressing warming permafrost, amongst others.
