Irvine Valley College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. Each college affiliated with ACCJC must undergo periodic evaluation of their programs and services through self-study and peer review in a seven-year cycle.
The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) met June 5-6 to review IVC’s Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER) and the Peer Review Team Report prepared by the peer review team that conducted its site visit to IVC February 27-28.
The Commission acted to reaffirm IVC’s accreditation for seven years with a commendation for the College’s culture of transfer excellence.
Commendations signify institutional practices for which the Commission believes exceed Standards. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and excellence of the college community.
You can find both the ACCJC letter and the evaluation team report online on the IVC Accreditation website.
