• Use your IVC email when communicating with college professors or staff.
• Here is the college's directory to look up a faculty's contact information.

• Most classes use Canvas for managing class communications, content, and assignments.
• You will find the class information on the IVC Canvas, NOT on your K-12 school district Canvas
• Log in to the IVC Portal using your username and password. Select Canvas from the list of applications. This is where you will find the class information, NOT on your K-12 school district Canvas. Your class will show up on Canvas (learning platform) 4-6 hours after officially enrolling in the course and by the first week of class.

• Grading options for each course
• Withdrawal dates specific to each class (e.g, last day to drop without a "W" grade and last day to drop with a "W" grade)
• Check if classes are transferable to CSU and/or UC
• Check if classes count for general education requirements (IGETC for UC/CSU; CSU General Education; or IVC General Education)

• Approved accommodations from the high school do not transfer to the college, even if college courses are offered on site at the high school.
• Services provided by the college may not be the same as those provided in the K-12 system.
• Accommodations are approved and provided by the IVC Office of Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS)
• Submit a request for an accommodation once you enroll in your class, as meeting with a staff member and getting an approval could take some time.

• Meet with a college counselor at the Counseling Center
• You can meet with any counselor, but request Robert Melendez or Vanessa Ortega if you want to speak to dual enrollment experts.
