Irvine Valley College (IVC) and the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) are excited to share the IVC/IUSD Summer College program for summer 2026 at IVC!
Classes are offered through the existing College and Career Access Pathway Agreement (CCAP), which means enrollment (per unit cost) and health fees are waived by IVC, and textbooks (if required for the class) will be provided by IUSD. For classes that require students to be on-site, parking fees will also be waived through funding from the City of Irvine's Measure BB. The program will take place from June 9 - July 24, 2026.
Which IUSD schools are participating?
Incoming 9th to current 11th graders attending Creekside, Irvine, IVA, Northwood, Portola, San Joaquin, University, and Woodbridge high schools will be given an exclusive first-come, first-served opportunity to enroll. Courses can count toward college credit, college admission, and A–G college entrance requirements—most commonly in areas F or G. Taking UC/CSU-transferable college courses while in high school can reduce the time and money needed to earn a degree at UC, CSU, and many private or out-of-state institutions. All courses appear on an official IVC transcript and can be included in college applications.
Class registration begins in the Spring. Students should complete the interest form (Step 1), college admissions application (Step 2) and parental/principal consent form (Step 3) before they can register for classes.
Steps to Enroll
Students currently attending or incoming 9th grader at one of the participating IUSD schools listed above must follow the instructions detailed in this section to enroll in the IVC/IUSD Summer College Program.
