The Office of Research, Planning and Accreditation collaborates with college faculty, staff, administrators, and managers by providing data and research assistance for internal projects and conferences. To ensure the college maintains its mission for student success, the Office of Research, Planning and Accreditation applies statistical techniques to identify educational bottlenecks and assess the impact of policy changes. The Office of Research, Planning and Accreditation consistently monitors student outcomes by disaggregating data to verify that vulnerable student groups are given the support system to thrive and achieve their educational goals at Irvine Valley College.

College faculty, staff, administrators, and managers can become IVC data coaches. These individuals are trained to analyze data, ask questions, and facilitate discussions that help to generate quality decision-making directives that help to move the institution forward.
