IVC President Dr. John Hernandez received the 2026 Excellence in Servant Leadership Award from the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS) during its Annual Classified Leadership Institute in early June. A delegation of 14 IVC classified professionals attended the institute, representing the college and participating in professional development and leadership activities with colleagues from across the state. 

Irvine Valley College’s “Ignite Your Future” digital enrollment campaign has earned a Bronze Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The international awards program recognizes colleges, universities, and schools worldwide whose advancement teams demonstrate exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Irvine Valley College (IVC) is proud to showcase the exceptional talent of its student artists through the 2026 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, now on display at the IVC Art Gallery through July 13.

The exhibition opened on April 30 with a standing-room-only reception, drawing students, faculty, families, alumni, and community members to celebrate the accomplishments of IVC’s emerging artists. 

IVC part-time Studio Art Professor Chris Polentz received a prestigious national honor after being selected to create artwork for the U.S. Mint’s Artistic Infusion Program.
