Irvine Valley College (IVC) is proud to showcase the exceptional talent of its student artists through the 2026 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, now on display at the IVC Art Gallery through July 13.
The exhibition opened on April 30 with a standing-room-only reception, drawing students, faculty, families, alumni, and community members to celebrate the accomplishments of IVC’s emerging artists.
Selected through a competitive juried process, the exhibition features outstanding student work across a variety of disciplines, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital media, graphic design, and mixed media. Artwork was chosen based on artistic merit, originality, and technical excellence.
"It is inspiring to be reminded of the power of art from the words the exhibiting artists shared on the touch screen in the gallery," said Amy V. Grimm, professor of art history and chair of the IVC Art Department. “Their words provide valuable personal connections and how their art (their voice and agency) emerged from taking classes at IVC.”
During the opening reception, several students were recognized for their outstanding artistic achievements:

The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition remains a cornerstone event for IVC’s Visual Arts programs, providing students with the opportunity to present their work in a professional gallery setting while engaging with audiences beyond the classroom.
Building on the success of this year’s exhibition, the IVC Art Gallery is expanding its vision to offer an even broader range of exhibitions and programming. Future plans include faculty showcases, exhibitions featuring regional and diverse artists, and presentations highlighting multidisciplinary and experimental practices. The gallery also aims to strengthen community engagement through artist talks, workshops, and collaborative events that connect artists, students, and the public.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
