This program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to place and advance in a wide-range of jobs across industry sectors related to sustainable resource management.
Zero Waste is about resource efficiency. Ask an engineer to define waste and the answer is "Inefficiency." Ask an environmentalist to define waste and the answer is "Pollution." Ask an economist to define waste and the answer is "Lost Revenue." Our Zero Waste Program trains individuals to work with businesses and communities to analyze their waste stream and create a plan for waste minimization. The ultimate goal: Zero Waste. Course requirements are designed to provide students with a holistic perspective on the relationship of recycling and zero waste to a changing global economy and climate.
