Emergency Grant
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law on March 27, 2020. One section of the CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) which provides funds to institutions for emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. California College Promise Grant
Formerly known as the Board of Governors Fee Wavier (BOGFW), the California College Promise Grant is a state program that was designed to provide educational assistance for eligible California residents attending California community colleges by waiving the enrollment fees. Students can apply by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) for AB 540 eligible students. (More Info)
Cal Grant
These state-funded grants are available to California residents who submitted the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for AB540 eligible students) and the GPA Verification Form by March 2 each year for the following school year and qualify on the basis of merit, financial need and/or vocational program. Chafee Grant
The California Chafee Grant Program is awarded to current and former Foster Youth to use toward vocational training or a degree program. (More Info)
Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is to assist students in meeting educational costs and does not have to be repaid. It is intended to assist those students with high financial need. (More Info)
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
This FSEOG Grant is provided to eligible students enrolled in at least 9 units and with significant financial need.

Student Success Completion Grant (SSCG)
Formerly the Full Time Student Success Grant and the California Community College Completion Grant, the Student Success Completion Grant (SSCG) was created by California Senate Bill 85. The 2017 Budget Act education trailer bill, was signed by the Governor on June 27,2017, and includes language initiating a new grant program for California Community College students starting Fall 2018.
