The Office of Student Equity offers support to disproportionately impacted communities of students in order to help promote success for every student at Irvine Valley College. We recognize that some students face more barriers to success than others and that these barriers are often built through unequal access to power and privilege. The purpose of this office is to both address these barriers to success as well as offering tailored support specific to the needs of each impacted student community. Our current programs include support for LGBQTIA+ students, Dreamers and undocumented students, current and former foster youth, students aged 25 years and older, students of color, and those facing food and housing insecurity. Additionally, Irvine Valley College is a federally recognized Minority Serving Institution (MSI) and the Office of Student Equity supports this service by running multicultural programming and events on campus as well as virtually.

IVC Student Equity Plan
The Student Success Metrics and student success indicators inform the decisions of the Irvine Valley College Student Equity Task Force to ensure the campus is implementing programs to help better serve students from backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented in higher education. The Student Equity Task Force consists of faculty, staff, administrators, and students who meet monthly to discuss current measures supporting student success and how to expand our services and impact.
