IVC DSPS Grievance Process

• Student may initiate a complaint via email, phone, virtual, or in-person meeting with a DSPS professional.
• DSPS makes every effort to resolve concerns through informal discussion.

• Within 3 instructional days of receipt: DSPS contacts the student and/or faculty member to gather information.
• Within 10 instructional days of receipt: DSPS discusses concerns and offers a proposed resolution.

• Parties are notified in writing of the informal resolution within 10 instructional days of receipt of the complaint.
• If the student does not agree with the outcome, they may request to move to the formal resolution process.

Parties are notified in writing of the decision reached through the formal resolution process within 10 instructional days of the receipt of the request.
