Meet and talk with the ASIVC candidates in-person! Join us for this personal opportunity to speak with prospective ASIVC members.
We are currently hosting special elections for 8 positions for the 2026-2027 academic year!
All voting officers are required to regularly attend weekly legislative meetings. Other commitments and requirements include participating in college and district shared governance meetings as well as ASIVC committee meetings as articulated in the ASIVC by-laws.

Primary voting body for ASIVC; represents student concerns to the Academic Senate; works in the development and implementation of major ASIVC-sponsored programs and events throughout the academic year.

Eligibility
To be an eligible candidate, you must:
Attend a Mandatory Candidate Orientation Meeting
All eligible candidates will be verified by the Office of Student Life on May 5, 2026 and will receive an email to sign up for a Candidate Orientation sent to their IVC email address.
Requirements
A student who is elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASIVC must meet all of the following requirements (in accordance with Section 76061 of the California Education Code):
The student shall be enrolled at IVC at the time of election and throughout their term, with a minimum of five (5) cumulative semester units at IVC.
In addition to the aforementioned requirements, a student who is elected or appointed to serve as an officer in ASIVC must also meet all of the following requirements:
