Irvine Valley College Accreditation Status Reaffirmed

Irvine Valley College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. Irvine Valley College was notified in February that it had been removed from its warning status and its accreditation was re-affirmed. Irvine Valley College submitted its follow-up report on October 15, 2012, addressing progress on recommendations 1 (district-wide planning), 2 (resource allocation), and 6 (communication). Each college affiliated with ACCJC must undergo periodic evaluation of their programs and services through self study and peer review in a seven year cycle. Irvine Valley College received its reaffirmation of accreditation on February 3, 2012.

2010

Irvine Valley College submitted its follow-up report on October 15, 2012, addressing progress on recommendations 1 (district-wide planning), 2 (resource allocation), and 6 (communication). The college participated in a follow-up visit with two representatives from the ACCJC on Friday afternoon, November 9, 2012.
