IVC Student Olivia Jin Has a Passion to Become a Venture Capitalist and Entrepreneur

Meet Olivia Jin, a dynamic student at Irvine Valley College (IVC) with a clear vision for her future in business and entrepreneurship. Olivia is pursuing a major in business administration with a concentration in strategy consulting, driven by her passion to empower small businesses in the competitive marketplace through strategic business development and marketing.

A graduate of Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Olivia has set her sights on attending UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where she aims to further hone her skills and knowledge in business management.

IVC Student Diego Moreno Fueled by Love of History

Diego Moreno, a passionate student at Irvine Valley College (IVC), is on a  journey fueled by his love for history. After graduating from Northwood High  School, Diego's academic path has been guided by his unwavering  enthusiasm for the subject, which he cultivated during high school. 

As a history major at IVC, Diego delved deep into his studies, driven by his innate curiosity and passion for the subject matter. His commitment to academia led him to excel in his classes, earning him recognition and respect among his peers and professors. 

Irvine Valley College Grad Takes Center Stage at the Grammy Awards

International sensation Dua Lipa captivated audiences during the opening act of the 2024  Grammy awards, emerging from inside a massive jungle-gym-like metal structure flanked by multiple black-clad dancers – including Irvine Valley College (IVC) graduate Kazuma Inoue.

“It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced,” said Inoue, who received  technical dance training at IVC, earning an associate of arts degree in dance. He continues to hone his skills here, taking hip hop, modern and ballet classes. 

IVC Student Diego Victoria Receives Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

Associated Students of IVC (ASIVC) President Diego Victoria has been named one of 60 community college recipients of the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. Victoria was one of the 459 semifinalists selected from a pool of more than 1,700 applicants from 380 community colleges nation-wide. This highly competitive award allows students to complete their undergraduate degrees at four-year institutions with minimal financial burden.
