Project Evolve is dedicated to helping students develop a strong sense of identity in their personal growth journey. Our mission is to help students explore their core values and strengths to create meaningful decisions in their academic and career paths. Through topics such as love language, vision boards, and following passions, we inspire members to find meaning and purpose in their personal lives. We offer a supportive space grounded in creativity, self-discovery, and peer-to-peer mentorship, where we turn visions and values into actions.
The Puente Club is a social, academic, and community opportunity and the mission and purpose of this club is to serve others and create a social and safe environment with a special interest in supporting transfer students, specifically first-generation Latinx students. The club is open to all students—in and outside of the Puente learning community. The club intends to assist students with the transfer process, connecting them to their heritage, and connecting Latinx and other students to IVC’s greater community and beyond.

The purpose of this organization is to provide members the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience with the fundamentals of Journalism. This will be conducted with various surveys of current local events, that may range from events at IVC itself, to other ambitious subjects such as city hall affairs. From gathering information via recorded interviews, to creating publications based off of the insight garnered by our research, each member will have an equal opportunity to contribute in the productions of this club.

A recent summa cum laude graduate of Irvine Valley College (IVC), Avary Johnson’s foray into the field of education began at a young age.
While still in high school she completed IVC’s 12-unit Early Childhood Teacher Assistant Pathway and earned a Certificate of Proficiency.
Thanks to her Advanced Placement, dual, and concurrent enrollment credits, Avary entered IVC as a second-year college student immediately after graduating high school.
