PUENTE Club

Purpose and Services

The Puente Club is a social, academic, and community opportunity and the mission and purpose of this club is to serve others and create a social and safe environment with a special interest in supporting transfer students, specifically first-generation Latinx students. The club is open to all students—in and outside of the Puente learning community. The club intends to assist students with the transfer process, connecting them to their heritage, and connecting Latinx and other students to IVC’s greater community and beyond. Although students are not required to be in the Puente Program at IVC, this club will allow Puente students to connect with non-Puente students, allowing for Puente resources to disseminate.
