Vendor Days

Vendor Days at Irvine Valley College, under the oversight of the Student Life Office, designates several "Vendor Days" throughout the academic year. These ASIVC supported activities provide fund-raising opportunities for ASIVC-I4C student clubs, and ASG supported programs on the IVC campus.

Mission Statement

Student Development/Life is an integral part of a well-rounded, quality educational program and experience. Irvine Valley College’s Student Life Office is designed to provide a student-centered environment, rich in events, information and resource center, as well as a focal point for service and leadership development programs. All services delivered to students through the college bookstore, cafeteria, and Associated Student Government focus in supporting students so that they are successful, and enhance the educational experience that foster's social, intellectual and physical growth.

Housing

Irvine Valley College Office of Student Life does NOT provide housing postings online or on any exterior/interior buildings, and includes any regular or dedicated bulletin boards on the IVC campus. Community members are welcome to utilize the Public Posting Panel/Boards located along the side wall of B100 building/across from the B300 building for their own housing/room for rent type listings. No approval necessary.

Student Life Calendar

The Office of Student Life promotes opportunities for students to engage in a rich dynamic environment that strengthens their student government skills, leadership, shared governance process and supports educational programs.

Student Representation Fee (SRF)

Help Support Irvine Valley College Students and California Community College Students!

Background

In October 2019, Assembly Bill (AB) 1504 was signed into law, requiring California Community Colleges to collect a student representation fee (SRF) of $2 per semester. This law went into effect on January 1, 2020, and all students who initially register for classes on or after January 1, 2020 will have this fee imposed.

ASIVC Access

ASIVC Access funds all student life events, student activities, campus-wide events (including commencement), student government, and student organizations. The funds generated by ASIVC Access provide scholarships for IVC students, enrichment programs, co-curricular (e.g.: Athletics, Honors, PTK, Psi Beta, MUN, Speech and Debate, XTE), and extra-curricular activities. A few of the ASIVC-sponsored events and initiatives include Welcome Week, De-Stress Events, Club Day, ASIVC Elections, and more! ASIVC Access allows for a vibrant campus life!

Campus Police Officer Responsibilities

All Campus Police or designated persons shall have the Authorization form, the Blue Cross Student/Athlete Accident Claim Verification form, and the Student Accident Insurance Eligibility form in their vehicle to provide to any student reporting an injury resulting in the need to obtain medical care off-campus. The officer or designated person should sign the Blue Cross Student/Athlete Accident Claim Verification form and the Student Accident Insurance Eligibility form where “college official/representative” is indicated.
