The name of this organization shall be the Irvine Valley College Classified Senate (IVCCS).
The Classified Senate shall represent classified employees in the Irvine Valley College governance system and is intended to provide:

Our Learning Lunch series are one hour sessions, where classified employees can learn about everything from tips on MS Excel and Google Docs to emergency preparedness demonstrations. Lunch will be provided for attendees, so check your emails for upcoming opportunities.
For everyone representing Classified Senate in Shared Governance meetings, please fill out the Classified Senate Participatory Shared Governance Report after each meeting.
The Irvine Valley College Professional Development Committee is dedicated to providing opportunities to the IVC classified employees that will expand their knowledge on a variety of relevant topics.
(All representatives serve two year terms)
Each semester, the Classified Senate Professional Development Committee coordinates a summit for classified employees to learn more about issues and topics that relate to our jobs in the California Community College system.
**Funding requests for classified professional development activities is no longer being processed through the Classified Senate Professional Development Committee. For individual professional development activity funding requests, please speak directly with your supervisor.
