Applegate launched TimeValue Software in 1984, a time when the software industry was in its infancy. Emerging as the industry leader in amortization software, the company’s first and flagship product – TValue – is now used by most of the top 100 accounting firms in the U.S.
Woraporn Sae-Hia is an enterprising international student at IVC, who is charting her path toward a future in business. Hailing from Thailand, Woraporn's journey towards academic and professional excellence began at Darunsikkhalai, where she specialized in Engineering Science. With a steadfast focus on her academic pursuits, Woraporn has set her sights on UC Irvine for her four-year institution plans. Madiha Pashtoon is a driven and accomplished student, who majored in Political Science at IVC, with a profound motivation rooted in her father's career as a diplomat. A graduate of University High School in Irvine, Madiha aspires to attend either the University of California, Irvine, or the University of California, Los Angeles, to further her education in pursuit of a career in international relations and law, with a focus on advocating for global minorities.
Linda-Rose Hembreiker fell in love with her instrument as a young child, seeing it in Disney’s The Aristocats and Fantasia. Described by the Denton Record-Chronicle as “evangelizing for the harp,” she is focused on sharing its beauty with audiences and students. Continuously working with composers and arrangers, she is passionate about creating new music for the harp.
Diego Victoria, President of the Associated Students of Irvine Valley College (ASIVC) and active member of the IVC’s Honors Program, has achieved a remarkable milestone in his academic journey. Recently named one of the 60 community college recipients of the esteemed Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, Diego stands out among 459 semifinalists selected from a competitive pool of over 1,700 applicants across 380 community colleges nationwide.
Sara Fox is a tenacious and determined student at IVC. A graduate of Parma High School in Parma, Idaho, Sara's academic pursuits have taken her through various paths, reflecting her resilience and adaptability. After initially focusing on wildlife resources in college, she answered the call to serve her country, joining the United States Air Force. Commissioned as an officer in May 2007, Sara served with distinction as an aircrew member specializing in navigation and electronic warfare aboard the RC-135 Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft.
Yanzhen Zhang's journey at IVC is a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the pursuit of lifelong learning. Hailing from Shantou Preschool Education Normal School in Guangdong, Yanzhen's decision to pursue Computer Science at IVC was driven by a deep-seated motivation to apply her newfound knowledge to quantitative psychology research.
