"This photo depicts an international student field trip to the Getty Center that I participated. This photo features Zexi, a Chinese student I got to know at the start of the trip. We learned about each other throughout the trip and he eventually allowed me to be the model for a photo with one of Monet's masterful painting. Additionally, I got to know other international students, Paria from Iran and Aiden from Myanmar. This trip is really refreshing after a week of midterms, go international lasers!"

"My sons and I also visited Dolores, Hidalgo in Mexico in the summer. A small colonial town in Guanajuato. Moms sold souvenirs to tourists in order to make a living, and help their husbands provide the basic needs for their children. She was happy with her life. On this picture, mom is carrying her baby on her back. She was about to turn 20 when I took her picture."

"This was taken my 2nd week at IVC. I made friends from Vietnam, Taiwan, china and the Philippines. After class, we would book a study room in the library to study together. I love the diversity at IVC because we all share different cultural backgrounds and we get to learn from one another. "

"IVC's campus is very beautiful. There is a lot of greenery. I like wide lawns and lots of trees because it releases a lot of fresh oxygen and makes the air fresh. Getting a tan with our pets will be a blissful moment. That's right, these are my two golden retrievers. If you see two golden retrievers appearing at the same time on campus, don't be shy, please come to pat them generously. They will be very warm to you."

"Some of my closest friends now are people I met through IVC. I love that students who are at IVC are working towards one goal which is to transfer. The picture below are my friends and I in our Chemistry 1A class. We have spent so much time inside and out of the classroom, and ended up taking the rest of our Chemistry courses together. They have all transferred from IVC, and are thriving."
