Eligibility to submit an EOPS application requires the following steps FIRST:

  • Complete the IVC application online at to obtain Student ID number and appointment for registration. (Be sure to declare an educational goal and major).
  • Complete the IVC Matriculation process at (Matriculation Part 1 – 5).
  • Clear residency with the Office of Admissions and Records (must be a California resident or AB540).
  • Submit official transcripts to the Office of Admissions and Records for ALL previous post-secondary coursework completed.
  • Confirm that your cumulative grade point average is 2.0 or higher at Irvine Valley College
  • Have less than than 60 college units completed from all schools attended.
  • Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application and submit all requested documentation to the IVC Financial Aid Office located in SSC 130.
  • Enroll in a minimum of 12 units for fall or spring; or 4 units for summer.
1. Are you enrolled in at least 12 units for the Fall 2022 semester?
Are you registered with the Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS) department?
2. Did you graduate from high school with a diploma or G.E.D?
3. Have you attended any other colleges in the United States?
Have you submitted official transcripts to the IVC Admissions and Records office?
4. Have you attended any foreign colleges outside of the United States?
Have you submitted official transcripts to the IVC Admissions and Records office?
5. Have you earned an AA/AS degree or BA/BS degree or higher?
6. Have you completed more than 60 units of college coursework from all schools attended?
7. Have you completed the FAFSA or Dream Act?
8. Have you completed the California College Promise Grant (previously known as BOG) fee waiver?
Did you have to pay out-of-pocket for your classes?



Based off the questions you answered, you may be a candidate for EOPS.
