What is SEP?
A Student Education Plan, also know as SEP, is an academic roadmap leading you to your academic goal. Access to creating a SEP is available through MySite. Students are able to create SEPs and have them reviewed and approved by a counselor to ensure accuracy and success.
What is an Approved SEP?
An Approved SEP is a SEP from beginning to the completion of your academic goal that has been approved by a counselor at Irvine Valley College. Counselors approve SEPs during counseling appointments or at the SEP Lab located in SSC 240. You can start your SEP in MySite using Degreeworks planning tool. An Approved SEP will identify the courses required for you to reach your academic goal whether you plan to pursue a certificate, an associate’s degree, and/or transfer.
Who is required to complete a SEP?
All students MUST have an Approved SEP upon completion of 15 degree applicable units or before the end of their 3rd semester. Students who do not get a SEP approved by a counselor will be blocked from registration.
