ASIVC Senator Application

1. A student who is elected to serve as an officer in ASIVC shall meet any of the following requirements (in accordance with Section 76061 of the Education Code).
   1. The student shall be enrolled at IVC at the time of election, and throughout the student's term, with a minimum of five (5) cumulative semester units (from either college in the SOCCCD), or the equivalent Cumulative quarter units.
   2. The student shall meet and maintain the minimum standards of scholarship prescribed for IVC students by the South Orange County Community College District.
   3. The student shall be enrolled in an adult education program offered by IVC pursuant to Article (commencing with Section 84900) of Chapter 5 of Part 50 , at the time of the election and throughout the student's term.
   4. The student is enrolled at IVC at the time of election, and throughout the student's term, and is a disabled student, as defined in subdivision (b) of Section 84850 .
2. Purchase ASIVC Access for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.
3. Must adhere to Student Leader Expectations unless alternative arrangements are made with ASIVC Advisor.
4. Each student leader is required to attend weekly ASIVC Legislative Meetings on Fridays from 10 - 11:30 am.

In order to run for office, you MUST attend one of the mandatory candidate orientations listed below. Not attending forfeits your application. Please do your best to make arrangements to attend one of the orientation meetings below and reach out to us with any questions/concerns: ivcstudentlife@ivc.edu
