How to Get Started at Irvine Valley College

• Visit the CCCApply web portal to apply to Irvine Valley College.
• Apply to IVC as soon as possible. You won’t be able to complete the remaining steps until your application has been processed and you have a student ID# in our system.

Visit the US Department of Veterans Affairs website, which provides information on applying for education benefits.

After applying, many military affiliated students are classified as non-resident students. To change your residency status, complete the Residency Reclassification Questionnaire.

Please have your DD214, military orders, and/or any supporting documentation ready to upload with your application.

Submit your Certificate of Eligibility, DD-214, your Joint Service Transcripts (JSTs), and any unofficial transcripts from other colleges you’ve attended to the VA School Certifying Official

• Apply for Financial Aid at studentaid.gov.
• While it is not required, you should apply for financial aid. Many veterans receive both their GI Bill® and financial aid. There are many benefits and it’s free to apply.
