IVC Speech Wins Back-to-Back 1st Place Team Sweepstakes Awards Following South Korea Competition

After winning 161 awards over 21 days of competition this season, the IVC Speech Team tested their talents by competing at the 35th Annual International Forensics Association (IFA) Speech and Debate Championships. IFA is an affiliate of the National Communication Association and promotes the diversity of speech and debate competition in nations around the world by hosting an annual tournament in alternating countries. For 2025, Incheon South Korea was voted to be the location of the prestigious tournament.

Circle K International Club

Circle K International is an international collegiate service organization formed to help the community through various service projects. It aims to build fellowship and create leaders within the membership. It also provides leadership training through professional development and conferences.

IVC's Circle K International Club attended the annual California-Nevada-Hawaii District Convention February 28 – March 2 in Ontario, California. Circle K members from colleges across the district gathered for educational workshops, leadership training, regional elections, service projects, and to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments.  

The IVC Circle K International Club brought home the following awards:

On March 26, we celebrated the grand opening of The Spot: Center for Basic Needs which relocated to its permanent location in the Student Activities Center (SAC 140). This center serves as a hub to help fill the gaps for students experiencing food or housing insecurity, financial burdens, or any other related challenges that may hinder a student’s ability to fully engage in their educational journey. Our core services are grounded in the belief that before a student can be expected to succeed in an academic setting, it is imperative that

IVC to Enrolled Agent (EA)

Welcome to the IVC to EA program. The goal of the IVC to EA program is to prepare you to pass the Enrolled Agent (“EA”) exam. In addition to preparing IVC to EA members for the EA exam, IVC to EA will be working with local accounting firms to assist members of the IVC to EA program to get internships and/or hired full time.

Last Friday, Chancellor Barnes delivered the annual State of the District address at IVC’s Fine Arts Recital Hall. Dr. Barnes emphasized the district’s commitment to fostering innovation and equity, reaffirming our mission to provide educational opportunities for all as reflected in this year’s theme, Students Are the Heart of Our Mission. She also led a Q&A session with the college presidents, emphasizing the importance of partnerships, career education, and enhanced student support services.
