The American Sign Language (ASL) Club has been founded to provide IVC students with an opportunity to connect with other students who are interested in ASL and share experiences, engage in IVC campus projects and programs, and participate in fundraising activities in the form of meetings, films, and ASL-related excursions.
The BEES Garden club works on the BEES garden on campus. Outside of the club we work to connect people who are majoring in biology, ecology, or environmental science. Overall we work to educate people on all things nature.
Our goal is to bring people outside and change their opinions of the birds around us. Most people see a small bird and think of a finch. Most people see big birds and think of hawks. However there are so many variations of these small and big birds that go overlooked. As the club goes on, there’s hope we will all learn to appreciate the many different types of birds around us and their unique characteristics.
IVC Business Leaders Society creates close ties with the business community, providing essential opportunities for members and an appreciation of the American free enterprise system. IVC Business Leaders Society allows post-secondary students to learn leadership skills related to business and participate in the highest quality events. The Black Student Union (BSU) aims to cultivate a sense of belonging and acknowledgement at IVC through building a strong campus community. The BSU will create awareness of the Black and African-American experience to teach and spread Black and African-American cultural knowledge and understanding through the formation of mutually-respected relationships along with a deeper understanding of the culture.
A plethora of STEM majors are required to take a chemistry class at some point in their academic career, which is why the Chemunity is there for students from all academic backgrounds that are unified by this requirement. The goal of the Chemunity is to help connect students with careers and opportunities that involve an education in chemistry.
The mission of the chess club is to foster a community at IVC where people learn and compete in the game of Chess.
