IVC Chorale Performs at Paris Choral Festival

In July, members of the IVC Chorale joined choirs from across the U.S. when they traveled to France to participate in the Paris Choral Festival, commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day and the Liberation of France. The group visited Normandy, including Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, where they performed during a wreath-laying ceremony. They also explored cultural sites like Mont Saint-Michel and the Rouen Cathedral, famously painted by Claude Monet.

LGBTQIA+ Pronouns

What are personal pronouns, how are they connected to the LGBTQIA+ community, and why do they matter? Pronouns are a part of speech (like nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc.), they are a word that replaces a noun in a sentence. In English, most of these are gender neutral (ex. I, me, we, you, they). However, some third person pronouns in English are gendered, notably “he” and “she”, though singular gender neutral “they” is also used.
