IVC Summer Bridge Program

IVC's Summer Bridge program will help prepare you for college. Participate in cultural enrichment events and activities that promote student success during two half-day field trips on Fridays. You will complete two UC– and CSU–transferable courses: Communication 1: Communication Fundamentals (3 units) and Counseling 10: Intro to College Study Skills (3 units).

Student Education Plan (SEP)

What is SEP?

A Student Education Plan, also know as SEP, is an academic roadmap leading you to your academic goal. Access to creating a SEP is available through MySite. Students are able to create SEPs and have them reviewed and approved by a counselor to ensure accuracy and success.

The Adult Learner Program at Irvine Valley College supports students aged 25 and older who are beginning or continuing their educational journey. Whether you're returning after 3 years or 30 years, or attending college for the first time, the program provides a welcoming environment, personalized guidance, and resources to help you succeed.

How can I complete a SEP?

Based on your specific situation, IVC has an option for you to obtain an approved Student Educational Plan (SEP). Refer to the following chart for the option that is best for you. If you have any questions about which option is best for you, please stop by the Counseling Center in SSC 210 or call us at 949-451-5319.

*Special note: Honors, Veterans, International, Student Athletes and EOPS students MUST see their assigned counselor for an approved Comprehensive MAP.

Counseling Center Services

The Irvine Valley College Counseling Center provides counseling services to help students with a variety of academic, career, and personal concerns.  The counseling faculty assists students in clarifying their needs, making decisions, setting goals and dealing effectively with personal obstacles.  The relationship between the student and counselor is confidential.
