At the Fall President’s Opening Day, State of the College, I spoke about the importance of actively exploring the Future of Teaching and Learning.  The future of teaching and learning is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the rapid advancements in generative AI. As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, its integration into education has the potential to reshape traditional models of instruction and create more personalized, adaptive, and engaging learning experiences.

Test Proctoring Policies and Procedures

  1. Submit your request at least 72 business hours in advance through the Test Proctoring Portal
  2. Schedule the exam on the day and time that has been agreed upon with your instructor. Instructor approval is required.
  3. Clarify any questions with your instructor prior to taking your test(s). Proctors cannot answer or clarify any questions regarding the test(s).
  4. Photo identification is required prior to taking your test(s).
  5. The testing center is an unscented and distraction reduced environment.

IVC Named a "2024 Great College to Work For®" Third Year in a Row

For the third year in a row, Irvine Valley College (IVC) has been named one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to the Great Colleges to Work For® program. The results, distributed in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education are based on a survey of 216 colleges and universities. In all, 75 institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies.

Mental Health and ADHD Eligibility Program

Purpose

The Mental Health and ADHD Eligibility Program is designed to assist students who are struggling with symptoms which are negatively impacting their academic success. Typical symptoms include difficulties with attention, concentration, processing information, or mood. The goal of the program is to provide support services and accommodations which level the playing field for students to be successful in college level courses.

Irvine Valley College Sets All-Time Enrollment Record with 15,848 Students

Irvine Valley College (IVC) is proud to announce a historic milestone in its four decades of serving Irvine and the surrounding community. As of September 9, IVC's fall census enrollment headcount has reached a record 15,848 students, the highest number since the college's founding in 1985. 

This figure represents the total number of unduplicated students currently enrolled in courses at the college. The achievement reflects IVC’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education and meeting the needs of its growing student population.
