IVC Model United Nations Rings in Holiday Season with Clean Sweep of Awards

The Irvine Valley College Model United Nations (MUN) program attended two conferences this semester and won awards in each competition category for a total of 11 awards. Prior to attending the conferences, IVC MUN students developed position papers on key issues such as the role of information technology in the illicit arms trade, supporting the worlds aquaculture, the impact of bullying and discrimination on youth, and addressing warming permafrost, amongst others. At the conference, students simulated the workings of the actual U.N.

Skills Courses

AESL skills courses help non-native speakers of English improve specific English skills. Students who want focused instruction on one of these skills should enroll in the skill course of their choice.

ELEVATE Peer Mentors

ELEVATE Peer Mentors are students who assist in the day-to-day operations of the CAANAPI and facilitate our events and workshops. Peer Mentors also support fellow ELEVATE students with navigating their journey through their time at IVC by providing valuable insights from their experiences and training.
