Communication Studies Department

The Communication Studies Department provides students with lower division courses that meet the needs of university transfer students and/or students who earn an Associate of Arts degree in Communication Studies, as well as students who are interested in lifelong learning opportunities. Through the selection of lower division Communication Studies courses, students acquire an understanding of the process of communication regarding public communication, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, argumentation and debate, oral interpretation of literature, and small group communication. Since communication is without question the most important skill in the workforce the Department strives to make our communication competency development opportunities as broad as possible for every major.

Art Department

The Art Department is made up of several programs for students interested in studying or creating art. Explore the language of Art through Art History and discover the way artists have used art to represent their lives and the world around them. Create visual art using drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture techniques and concepts. Produce digital media art content for graphic design, photography, and video projects. Develop immersive worlds through interactive media using animation, game design, and environmental design.
