The water outage is expected to last all day. This notice applies only to the main IVC campus (not ATEP).
Due to the impact on HVAC system, the following buildings will close at noon today:
- B 200
- B 300
- LSB
- PE 100
- PE 200
- PAC
Classes and events in these buildings will be relocated or cancelled; please check with instructor for clarification. Supervisors will provide direction to employees as needed. Please avoid these areas after noon.
9/23/25 at 7 am:
This is an update on the campus water outage following the water main break on Monday, September 22.
- Campus will open in the morning as scheduled.
- Portable restrooms and hand-wash stations will be in place across campus.
- The toilets at LSB, Liberal Arts, VA, MD, and HWC restrooms are operational because they use reclaimed water, however sink water is not in use. Hand-wash stations are positioned outside each of these buildings.
- Most indoor plumbing and drinking fountains will remain out of service; please plan accordingly and use posted portable facilities.
Facilities and our construction team continue repairs to restore full water service as quickly as possible.
9/22/25 at 9:22 pm:
Earlier today, Irvine Valley College experienced a water main break that resulted in a campus-wide water outage. This outage has impacted all restrooms, water fountains, and other essential water services.
All classes and events scheduled for today are cancelled and the campus is closed until 7 am to all non-essential personnel. It is recommended that everyone leave campus promptly.
We are actively working with the construction team through the night to restore water service as quickly as possible. Updates will be shared as soon as we have an estimated time of restoration.
