Dr. Rick Boone became a Licensed Salesperson in 2002 and worked full-time in the industry for 9 years before transitioning into higher education full-time. He specialized in residential income properties (apartment buildings), working primarily with investors in Orange County and Long Beach. Dr. Boone is the first and only person in his family to earn a college degree and is proud to help students of all ages and backgrounds learn practical skills for the real world. He earned his Master’s Degree in Business and Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.

Bob Ableson

Dr. Robert Abelson (AKA Dr. Bob) is a CA Certified General appraiser and has been appraising commercial and residential real property in Southern California since 1993. He has been teaching Real Estate Course at the CA Community Colleges since 1999. In 2002 Dr. Bob became an Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) Certified USPAP (Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice) Instructor.

Dr. Bob earned a bachelor’s in physics from State University of New York at Stony Brook, a master’s in physics from University of California Santa Barbara, and a doctorate in geophysics from University of California Los Angeles. In 2020 he received the Advancing Real Estate Education Award from the CA Community Colleges Real Estate Education Center.

Gjenaii Enciso Givhan

Professor Enciso Givan worked in each of the essential areas of real estate: finance, loan processing, underwriting, funding, escrow, auditing, sales, and document preparation. She also worked for the federal government nationally as an Auditor for Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC). Professor Enciso Givan has worked for financial institutions, mortgage bankers, and mortgage brokers and possess over 25 years of real estate and banking expertise, experience, and knowledge.

Throughout her career, Professor Enciso Givan witnessed a myriad predatory lending and real estate agent practices. She was inspired to teach people how to prepare themselves so that they would be knowledgeable and informed homeowners, teaching business and real estate for the past 20 years.

Josh Sitea

Professor Sitea is an active real estate investor and franchisor. His areas of focus include multi-family properties, value add construction including Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and franchise ownership of retail businesses. He has also served as CEO of a high-end manufacturing company in California and is known to be hands-on in all his business ventures.

John Dunham

John Dunham is a former computer chip executive, teacher and investor. He spent 10 years teaching community college math and has 18 years of experience buying, selling, and managing residential investment real estate. John is currently the Principal Advisor at Focused Capital Investment, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) focused on helping people realize their ideal retirement. He is a first-generation college graduate.

Professor Johnson is a California-licensed broker, former CEO of JPAR—Real Estate, and a leading expert in real estate recruiting and retention. He has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and various TV and Radio shows, and is an award-winning author, speaker, adjunct professor, and business partner in a real estate-focused talent attraction solution. With over 30 years of deep real estate industry experience, he also earned his master’s degree in business from California State University, his bachelor’s from Colorado State, and numerous other certifications.
