Irvine Valley shuts out East Los Angeles, 3-0, at home Friday afternoon in its last game before Orange Empire Conference begins next week. The Lasers (6-1) open up OEC action at Orange Coast next Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Irvine Valley wins the first two sets and has chances in the next two, but has to take the match in five, 25-23, 25-18, 25-27, 23-25, 15-13 in an Orange Empire Conference match at Riverside Wednesday. IVC hosts Orange Coast Friday.

Irvine Valley, falls, 3-2, to defending state champion Cuyamaca at home on Tuesday. Cuyamaca was ranked No. 6 in the state last week in the first poll of the season. IVC's record fell to 3-4. The team starts OEC play next week.

Irvine Valley, after gaining a forfeit win over LA Harbor on Friday, played a fun instrasquad match at home with sophomores against freshmen. The Lasers, 5-0 overall, are back in action next Tuesday at Ventura at 6:30 p.m.

Irvine Valley is off to a 5-0 start for the 2025 season and has trained hard again this week. IVC is off to one of its best starts in years and will be a contender in the Orange Empire Conference. IVC plays at Ventura next Tuesday.

Irvine Valley just missed earning a spot in the top 20 in the state in the first California Community College Sports Information Association poll. The Lasers, who have a record of 4-0 overall play again Friday at LA Harbor at 2 p.m.

Third year Irvine Valley men's soccer coach Conor Ward was named to a full-time position last month and recently answered some questions about his philosophies, preparing student-athletes and his staff for the 2025 season.

Sophomores Nikki MacDonald and Kuuipo Laumatia continue their hot starts to the season, scoring goals as Irvine Valley defeats Victor Valley on the road on Tuesday, 2-1, to move the squad's record to 3-0 to begin 2025.

Irvine Valley scores two goals in the final 20 minutes to pick up its first win of the 2025 season. Armin Tehrani finishes in the 72nd minute and then Michael Baumgaertel scores on a free kick in the 84th minute for the 2-1 win.
