April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
It is a national campaign that promotes ending sexual violence. During the last week of April, Irvine Valley College (IVC) holds events educating students about affirmative consent, methods to end and prevent sexual assault on our campus, and how to support survivors. Please view our schedule of numerous events, activities, and presentations taking place on campus this year. We look forward to your participation!

Kick Off Day
Join the IVC community in launching Sexual Assault Awareness Week. Learn how to become involved in your own community. Visit the National Sexual Violence Resource Center 2025 Day of Action for more details.
Tuesday, April 29
Mental Health Resource Fair | 10 am - 1 pm | SSC Quad
This resource fair is a safe space for students to raise awareness of mental health issues with our community partners during Sexual Assault Awareness Week. Please come and participate by learning more about mental health awareness and how to support those in need. Lunch provided by the Chronic Tacos (while supplies last).
Wednesday, April 30
Denim Day | 10 am - 1 pm | SSC Quad
A response to erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual harassment, abuse, assault, and rape, participants are encouraged to wear denim to combat victim blaming and educate others about sexual violence. Please join us as our Student Services colleagues sponsor live activities, swag raffles, giveaways, and much more!
