From the Desk of The President
Building on last year’s districtwide, 10‑month effort to develop a ten‑year strategic plan, members of our college community spent this past fall engaged in a semester‑long process of previewing, gathering feedback on, and ultimately affirming our IVC Inspire 2035 goals and priorities.

From Student to Counselor: Brianna Joslyn’s Full-Circle Journey at Irvine Valley College
When Brianna Joslyn first stepped onto the Irvine Valley College (IVC) campus, she was a young single mother rebuilding her life after leaving an abusive marriage. Balancing the responsibilities of parenthood with the challenges of being a first-generation college student, Brianna found hope and belonging through the supportive community at IVC, especially in the EOPS/CARE/CalWORKs programs, which provide academic, financial, and personal support for students facing economic or family-related challenges.
From the Desk of The President
Lately, I find myself reflecting on the pain many within our IVC community are experiencing in response to national and global events. In conversations with students and colleagues, many have shared how challenging it is to make sense of, understand, and respond to situations that directly and indirectly impact our well‑being and our shared sense of humanity. It is a reminder that when one member of our community hurts, that pain reverberates throughout our entire community.
