A unique characteristic of community colleges that distinguishes us from other institutions of public higher education is our inherent mission to serve our local community. We play an important role in training tomorrow’s workforce and meeting the educational needs of our local communities.
Dr. John C. Hernandez was appointed 7th President of Irvine Valley College (IVC) in July 2020.
As IVC’s seventh president, it is my privilege to lead a college dedicated to expanding opportunity, fostering innovation, and empowering students to reach their full potential. For more than 40 years, IVC has provided pathways to higher education, career advancement, and lifelong learning.
