Appeal Process

Students at risk of or removed from the Irvine Valley Promise program may appeal for readmission. Early high school graduates or students transferring from another community college promise program can also be considered for the program through the appeal process.

Note: This is appeal process for the Irvine Valley Promise program, not for the California College Promise Grant (CCPG).

Eligibility

Program Eligibility (Incoming Students)

To be eligible for Irvine Valley Promise, students must:

  • Be a first-time college student*
  • Be a California resident or eligible for residency waiver (AB540)
  • Identify Irvine Valley College as "College of Record"
  • Enrolled in at least 12 units (full-time)

We take great pride in providing campus grounds that are not only well-maintained but also strive to capture the look and feel of California’s drought-tolerant native plants, shrubs, and trees.

Facilities Rentals at Irvine Valley College

Before inquiring about renting IVC facilities, please know:

  • Rentals are processed on a first come-first served basis.
  • You will need to provide a $1,000,000 certificate of liability insurance naming South Orange County Community College District as a certificate holder.
  • A refundable cleaning deposit is required with all rentals.
  • Rates are stated per room per hour and are non-negotiable.
  • Facilities rental rates are subject to change.

IVC Esports

IVC Esports is a project-based learning organization where students take on real world projects that reflect the professional world of esports. Students and faculty involved in the IVC Esports program are part of a 100+ member team that brings esports to IVC through competition, career development, and community building. We host some of the best collegiate esports athletes in the nation who compete regularly for titles, scholarship money, and cash prizing.
