Return of Title IV Funds
Federal aid recipients who withdraw or are dropped from all classes by the instructor are subject to new regulations regarding the return of Title IV funds. If you withdraw or are dropped from all your classes prior to completing more than 60% of the enrollment period, you are subject to these rules. Drug Counseling
Federal law requires that institutions participating in federal student financial aid programs establish drug-abuse programs for students and staff. The following services are available to you if needed:
- Students may make appointments at the Health and Wellness Center.
- Full-time faculty and staff and their families may make appointments with PacifiCare.
- Referrals for counseling for continuing drug abuse can be made to Orange County Mental Health Services.
Satisfactory Academic Progress
In accordance with federal financial aid regulations, financial aid recipients are required to make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) toward completion of their educational goals in order to receive financial aid. This SAP policy is separate from IVC’s academic progress policies. Additionally, federal rules state that SAP standards must include a review of all periods of enrollment, for which the student did and did not receive financial aid.
