At Irvine Valley College, we are committed to offering a wide array of transferable university engineering courses which build advanced career technical skills. Through our strong working relationship with the University of California, Irvine, the IVC Drafting Technology and Engineering program has expanded to include fifteen classes and four certificates.
Distance Education offers courses through our online education program and is designed for students who may not otherwise be able to attend traditional college courses, or those who simply want to take advantage of the convenience and flexibility of online courses.
The Design Model Making and Rapid Prototyping program teaches students how to get ideas out of their heads and into a physical model using traditional hand-on skills and modern technology. DMP students work with advanced manufacturing tools and materials to develop technical skills which can be used in the fields of automotive design, product development, medical device design, 3D printing, toy design, stage special effects and set design, manufacturing, and packaging design.
The IVC Dance Department trains dancers, choreographers and movement therapy practitioners through our diverse offerings of dance lecture, dance technique, performance and movement science courses.

The Computer Science Department conducts a program designed for students who are developing computer programming skills in preparation for transfer to a four-year college or university. The Computer Science Department also prepares students for self-education in this ever-developing field and fosters students' abilities to solve Computer Science problems.
