The Office of the President provides leadership for the overall operation of the College and ensures institutional progress by focusing on its mission and vision. The President leads operations through the President’s Executive Council, in collaboration with district and community stakeholders and governance groups consisting of faculty, staff, and students.

The Department of Political Science prepares students to actively participate in political life as well as be astute political observers and actors by providing students with the skills needed to engage in a variety of careers ranging from government and academia to the private and public sectors.

Patrols campus grounds, takes crime and incident reports, conducts investigations, enforces all applicable laws, traffic regulations and provides a safe campus environment.

Physics and Astronomy explores the fundamental principles governing the behavior of our universe, from the subatomic scale to the cosmological scale. These principles have direct applications to a large cross section of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, making this field of study a highly versatile undergraduate and graduate major. Coursework satisfies the needs of students wishing to obtain an AS degree and/or transfer to higher learning institutions.

The department of physical science engages students in the systematic study of the inorganic world. Physical science is ordinarily thought of as consisting of four broad areas: astronomy, physics, chemistry, and the Earth sciences. Studies in the physical sciences also lead to life science programs such as medicine, dentistry, physical therapy and pharmacy, as well as engineering, meteorology and geology. Our learning environment is both academically rigorous and student-centered, with a low faculty-to-student ratio. The Department of Physical Sciences provides the foundation courses needed to transfer into four-year programs. The program does offer Associate of Science for Transfer (AST) degrees in Physics and Chemistry.

The Performing Arts center of Irvine Valley College offers an engaging season of performances across multiple disciplines including Theater, Music, Dance and Forensics.

The American Bar Association (ABA) approved paralegal program at Irvine Valley College prepares students to assist attorneys as paralegals in administrative agencies, corporations, insurance companies, private law firms, government, and other legal environments. Emphasis is on training students in the practical application and development of up-to-date paralegal related job skills. In addition, the program introduces students to legal theory.
