The following information will give you the basic steps to getting your GI Bill® started at Irvine Valley College. This information is specific to students using the Post 9/11 GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill®, and the Reserve GI Bill®. However, the process is very similar for students using other types of benefits.

The Irvine Valley College Veterans Services Center is dedicated to helping veterans and their families access the wide range of education benefits offered by the VA. Below is a list of the most commonly used benefits and their basic eligibility requirements. The VA is constantly changing programs and requirements, so interested students should contact the VA to get the most up to date information.
Per California SB 272 & SB 361, priority registration will be granted to any current or former member of the Armed Forces of the United States who has received an honorable discharge, a general discharge, or an other than honorable discharge.
