The Faculty

Our outstanding faculty are carefully chosen from the public and private sectors for their knowledge, experience and teaching ability. They recognize the extensive prior experience of participants and attempt to build on those experiences.

They are knowledgeable about the needs and interests of older adults and conduct their classes accordingly.

College For Kids

College For Kids at Irvine Valley College offers academic and enrichment courses for students ages 5-18 during the summer only. Courses range from art, chess, coding, computers, math, movie making, origami, public speaking, reading, robotics, study skills, writing and so much more. Whether it’s a one-day crash course on enhancing study skills or a one-week course on computer programming, College For Kids program offers a variety of options. College for Kids summer schedule and registration will be available the first part of April each year.

Do you see a need for a class that is not offered? Do you have a special interest or talent that you think others might be interested in learning? Irvine Valley College is always looking for instructors with developed courses in Arts & Crafts, Music, Health & Nutrition, Languages, Business & Careers and more. If you have an idea for a new class, please send an email requesting a course proposal form.

Online Classes

These fee-based online classes are for personal enrichment only - no college units are awarded for these classes. Update your skills, discover a new talent, or chart a career path at your convenience with our online classes.

Ed2Go

Ed2Go offers a wide range of highly interactive courses that you can take entirely over the Internet. All courses are led by expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors in their fields.  Online courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient, and geared just for you.
